On/Off Rotary Switch 3/8" Shank Lamp Part Brass/Nickel Finish

$ 13.99

On/Off Rotary Switch 3/8" Shank Lamp Part Brass or Nickel Finish 6A 125V New

The canopy switch that fits where others don't — and finishes the job right.

A canopy switch is one of those parts that has to be exactly right. Wrong shank diameter, wrong finish, wrong rating — and the restoration stalls. This single-circuit on/off canopy switch is built for lamp and light fixture work where a compact, reliable switch is needed directly at the canopy, lamp body, or custom lighting assembly. It fits table lamps and custom lighting builds where a canopy-mounted on/off switch is called for. The 3/8 inch shank seats cleanly through standard canopy and lamp body hardware. The knurled, removable knob simplifies installation in tight assemblies and gives the switch flexibility across a range of restoration and repair applications. Available in brass or nickel finish, so the hardware matches what is already on the fixture.

MEASUREMENTS Overall depth from knob to back of switch: 1 1/4 inches. Switch body width: 3/4 inch. Switch body length side to side: 7/8 inch. Shank width: 3/8 inch. Threaded section length: 1/4 inch. Wire length: 6 inches.

ELECTRICAL Single-circuit on/off switch. Rated 6A-125V, 3A-250V.

Find Your Part

Search our catalog by part, fitter size, or fixture type — try “2 1/4 shade”, “mogul socket”, or “sash lock”.

Need help choosing or fixing a part? Our Salvage Knowledge Library draws on Vintporium’s work since 2008 to help you identify what you have, pick the right part, or plan your own repair.

Can't Find the Part?

Looking for a matching sconce, a replacement shade, or an odd-sized fitter? Send us a photo and measurements. A large portion of our inventory is uncataloged. Many of the doors, windows, fireplace surrounds, bath fixtures, and architectural pieces in the yard never make it to the website. If you don't see it online, that doesn't mean we don't have it.

The Vintporium Heritage Standard

The Heritage Standard

Restored by hand, one at a time. Old wire out. New wire rated for present use, sound sockets, and grounding where the fixture allows. The body, glass, finish, and the marks it earned stay. Every fixture is tested on the bench before it leaves the shop.

About the Founder

Joe Golda has run Vintporium from his workshop in San José since 2008. He sources the pieces, pulls the old wiring, rewires them, finishes them by hand, and packs them himself. One person, one bench, one standard. Every fixture is tested — each socket, each switch — before it ships. What's original is called original. What's new is called new. We call this commitment to candor and craft our Heritage Standard.
