This 6 inch fitter semi-flush ceiling fixture is the part most shade owners are missing. The glass turns up at a flea market or estate sale, and then it sits on a shelf because nothing in the house will hold it. This fixture holds it. It accepts any vintage or reproduction glass shade with a 6 inch fitter: schoolhouse shades, globes, and other ceiling shades made to the 6 inch standard. Three thumbscrews in the shade holder clamp the fitter lip and keep the glass in place. A stepped canopy and short neck hold the shade close to the ceiling. The fixture mounts to a standard ceiling electrical box. It suits kitchens, hallways, bedrooms, and entryways in older houses and new ones. It takes a standard medium base bulb through a porcelain-lined socket. It is new production, UL listed, and comes in Polished Nickel, Satin Nickel, Satin Brass, Antique Brass, or Black to match the hardware already in the room.
