This 1930s Art Deco semi-flush ceiling light carries the kind of pressed-glass geometry that modern reproductions spend their whole lives chasing and never quite reach — a bold starburst center cut deep into frosted glass, ringed by a lightly textured band that catches and diffuses light the way only period glass can. Switch it on and the shade comes alive: warm, dimensional Art Deco shadowing fans out across the room below, softened by the frosted surface, sharpened by the geometric relief. The base and fitter are custom-made steel, powder-coated in gloss white and paired with a porcelain socket, nickel thumb nuts, and nickel beaded chain supports — a combination that reads as period-correct without pretending to be something it is not. Ideal for a hallway, entry, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom powder room, vintage apartment, Craftsman bungalow, or Tudor Revival where ceiling height is limited but the room still deserves a fixture with a real story behind it.

MEASUREMENTS The shade measures 10 inches wide. The overall fixture height is 8 inches.

ELECTRICAL This fixture is rated for dry locations only. It accepts one standard E26 medium base bulb with a maximum recommended wattage of 60 watts. It is compatible with incandescent, LED, and CFL bulbs. This is a custom-built fixture and is not U.L. Listed. Bulb not included.

CONDITION The vintage pressed-glass shade is original to the Art Deco period and has been cleaned and detailed. The glass shows honest age appropriate to its years, including minor flea bites and faint surface crazing around the fitter holes; these are cosmetic only and do not affect function or appearance in use. The custom steel base and fitter are new components with a gloss white powder-coated finish and present cleanly. Wiring has been updated. The fixture is restored and ready to install.
