The 4 Inch Fitter Flush Mount Base That Makes a Glass Shade Sit Right

This 4 inch fitter flush mount base is built for one job: holding a 4 inch glass shade level and secure. The fitter size is exact, the dimension that decides whether a shade sits true or rattles loose. The black steel collar has a low profile that suits Mid-Century and post-war utility fixtures, and it works as a semi-flush ceiling base for any fixture built around a 4 inch fitter, in a hallway, kitchen, or stairwell. It mounts to a standard junction box with the included strap, screws, and wire nuts. The fitter is exact, the finish is black steel, the fit is correct.

MEASUREMENTS

The collar stands approximately 1 3/4 inches tall. It measures just over 5 inches in diameter at its widest point. It is built to accept glass shades with a standard 4 inch fitter.

ELECTRICAL

The fixture is customized and therefore not UL Listed. The base uses one porcelain, medium-base socket. Maximum wattage is 60 watts. The fixture is  rated for dry locations. It is compatible with incandescent, LED, or CFL bulbs. Bulb is not included.
