Antique Beaded Chain Semi-Flush Ceiling Light Fixture

Many early porcelain fixtures had embossed floral motifs and elaborate designs, frequently glazed with uranium glass over off-white glazing, giving the deep reliefs a yellowish tint. They did, however, also come in various wonderful color hues. Porcelain light fixtures advanced further throughout the 1930s to the 1960s.

Manufacturers began to develop fixtures with streamlined and contemporary forms, reflecting current architectural and design trends. Furthermore, technological advances enabled mass manufacturing, making porcelain light fixtures less expensive and more accessible.

The antique semi-flush porcelain beaded chain drop-down ceiling light fixture has been rewired, cleaned, detailed, and includes installation hardware making it convenient to install.

Measurements: The fixture measures 9 3/4 inches wide and 8 3/8 inches tall.

Condition: The fixture features a new socket, wires, wire sheathing, mounting bracket, brass thumb nuts, and beaded chain. The fixture shows signs of wear, showing its antiquity with inconsistencies, including small chips and flea bites on the edges of the glass shade. Wear and pinholes in the bisque-tinted enameled glass finish. The porcelain fixture shows wear on the glazed brass bands and a nonstructural hairline fissure on the socket cup so slight as to be barely visible.

Electrical: The fixture uses a standard medium base bulb. Use a 60-watt bulb. Suitable for dry locations.
